Mega Millions

Mega Millions, established in 1996 as "The Big Game," is one of the biggest multi-state lotteries in the United States. Participants pick five main numbers from a set of 70 and a Mega Ball number from a set of 25. With nine different ways to win, the jackpot starts at a staggering $20 million and can roll over to even more mind-boggling sums. The biggest Mega Millions jackpot to date exceeded $1.5 billion! The drawings are held twice a week, on Tuesday and Friday evenings, offering participants numerous opportunities to become instant millionaires.

The primary prize for Mega Millions is the jackpot, which starts at $20 million. The jackpot amount increases (or "rolls over") for each drawing if no ticket matches all six numbers drawn. This can result in incredibly large jackpots; the record-setting Mega Millions jackpot was $1.537 billion in October 2018. Apart from the jackpot, there are eight other prize tiers, ranging from $2 to $1 million, based on matches of the five white balls or the Mega Ball.

Powerball

Powerball, originating in 1992, holds the title for the largest lottery jackpot ever awarded, standing at a whopping $1.586 billion in 2016. Players choose five primary numbers from a pool of 69 and a single Powerball number from a pool of 26. The game boasts nine prize tiers, with the jackpot starting at $20 million. The Powerball drawing takes place thrice a week—every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. Its vast prize potential and frequent drawings make it a fan favorite across the U.S.

Powerball's jackpot starts at $20 million and can grow by a minimum of $2 million per draw whenever the jackpot roll is not won. The highest Powerball jackpot ever won was $1.586 billion in January 2016, which was split among three winning tickets. In addition to the jackpot, there are eight other ways to win prizes, ranging from $4 to $1 million, or even $2 million if you have the Power Play option and match 5 white balls.

Korean Lottery 6/45

The Korean 6/45 Lottery, commonly referred to as "Lotto 6/45," is South Korea's leading lottery game. Launched in 2002, this game requires participants to select six numbers from a pool of 45. The simplicity of the game design, combined with decent odds of winning, has made it particularly popular among the masses. Every Saturday, millions of Koreans eagerly await the draw, hoping their chosen numbers will change their fortunes. The game also features a bonus number, which increases the chances of winning secondary prizes.

The Korean 6/45 Lottery, or Lotto 6/45, is divided into five prize tiers. The first prize, or jackpot, goes to any ticket that matches all six numbers. The amount of the jackpot varies and is determined by ticket sales and the number of winners. Historically, jackpots have ranged from a few hundred million won to several billion won. The second prize is awarded for matching five numbers plus the bonus number, the third prize for matching five numbers, the fourth for four numbers, and the fifth for three numbers. The exact prize amounts for tiers two through five depend on the draw's total ticket sales and the number of winners in each tier.
